Reflect, Relax, Renew!

REFLECT…

Take a big breath of fresh energy. Breathe in and hold it three seconds, now breath ot. Pause in between each breath. Breathe up from your diaphragm with every part of your being. Gulp in fresh air and breathe out until you feel toxins release. As you breathe out, meditate and let your mind go free. Reflect over this current year. How fast has it has gone by? What were your goals for 2019? What did you plan? Did you accomplish what you set out to do?

If you are like many of us, you may still have things on your ‘to do’ list that went unaccomplished. Now is the time to go back to your daily journals that I know we all are keeping. Read over your goals and remind yourself of where you were at the beginning of the year the energy you projected.  Ask yourself where you are now. Are you present in your own life? Are you present in your own goals? Are you present in your own decision making? When I speak of being ‘present’ I am asking if you are in control, navigating your own journey or are you merely going through the motions of everyday life?

These behaviors, often unaware, keep us stuck from moving forward. Read over your peaks and valleys.  Our lives often become a pattern. You might be able to see a pattern that works for you. This reflection exercise will also help you see patterns that traditionally haven’t been working for you. Remember to write your vision and make it plain so that someone else can run with it.

God gives every one of us a vision and he gives us the faith to see it through to fruition.

We have all been granted a mustard seed of faith and it is up to us to grow that seed into a bountiful harvest.

RELAX…

Embrace the Fall season and all of God’s splendor.  This is where we can slow down a little, reflect and do more planning or re-work the plan we already have. Afford yourself time to watch the essence and beauty of Mother Nature. The Fall season changes right before our very eyes without anyone telling it to except it’s own spirit.

RENEW…

God gives us a spirit and like the seasons, we also change. The trees know that is time to shed their leaves, the bumble bees know its time to go in their hives, the industrious ant that puts away food all summer long is stocked up and ready for the change.

If God gave the animals and insects an innate ability to know when to change, can you only imagine how much more he has given you and me? Listen to the still small voice of the spirit within you this season. Ask the Spirit what your next move is when you don’t know.

Exercise: Create a sacred place in your home where only you and God dwell. Sit quietly in whatever position is most comfortable for you. Surround yourself with things that you love and hold dear to your heart. Decorate the area so that it is inviting when you show up there. Select some soft music if music is your preference. Usher in and invite the HolySpirit in to commune with you. Enjoy your fellowship. You will know when He shows up. Wait for his sweet smell. Remember the Spirit is a loving personality waiting to answer and to guide you.

Reflect, Refresh and Renew.
